Adam Gower is a seasoned investor with a background in international business development and finance at both private and institutional levels. He recently relocated to San Luis Obispo where he has successfully commenced engagement with several of the area’s leading property developers, assisting them with major asset divestments. His work with SLO seeds is focused on startup companies emanating from the Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. In addition to making investments alongside his SLO Seed colleagues, he also provides targeted critical-path assistance to client companies. In recent years Adam has successfully embedded with major corporations, integrating and working with existing teams typically to build new corporate divisions. Since the onset of the worst of the economic crisis in 2009, he has conducted over $1 billion of transactions primarily in distressed debt divestments for major regional banks and private equity firms. Adam has been involved in bank syndications and participations, complex financial restructurings and recapitalizations, and has acted on numerous occasions as an expert witness. During the late 1990’s Adam was co-founder of a digital animation startup company together with Japanese partners. He is a banking history PhD candidate at University College London, an active member of his local school PTA, and an avid Crossfitter.
